Veterinarians

Bill Taylor

BVSc.

Bill graduated in 1997 from Sydney University and entered mixed practice in Gerringong where he practiced for two years before moving to the UK to strengthen his small animal skills. After spending 4 years abroad the great Downunder beckoned Bill back to Canberra where he worked at Inner South vets for 4 years, adding skills in exotic animal and bird medicine to his repertoire. Following this, Bill joined us here at Queanbeyan in 2009 and has been constantly improving and expanding the practice since. Bill has undertaken further studies in exotic species, surgery and behavioural medicine to ensure we are up to date with the latest advances in veterinary medicine. Away from work Bill relishes spending time with his wife Alison (a veterinarian at Kippax) and his two young boys Jack and Hugh. When Bill has a chance he likes to head down to the coast to play beach cricket with his boys, take his poodle Poky for a run, and to relax!

Dr Michael Archinal

BVSc, IVAS(Cert), PTC(Hons) - Senior Small Animal Partner

Michael is the Senior Small Animal Partner in the practice. He graduated from Sydney University in 1987 and after five years in country practice, started the Bateman's Bay Veterinary Hospital. After five years of very successful practice, he was recruited as a partner here in 1996. Michael is our resident dermatologist and is also a qualified acupuncturist having been awarded the IVAS diploma in acupuncture and has undertaken post-graduate training in animal behaviour. He is married to Jodie, and has three sons and two Labradors named Rosie and Genie. How he combines family life, football refereeing, a single digit golf handicap, commitments in his local church, a television, radio and print career and veterinary practice remains one of the great secrets. Michael is currently studying for his MACVS in Pharmacology.

You can catch Michael every second Thursday on 'Mornings with Kerri-Anne' on the Nine Network and every second Saturday on ABC radio, or in a regular column in a 'Dog's Life' magazine.

Adam Gaudry

BVSc.

Michael Riethmuller

BVSc.

Michael graduated from Sydney University in 1994 and began his career in a mixed practice clinic at Goulburn. Following 3 years of practice in Australia the travel bug hit and Michael moved over to the UK. What was to be a short lived working holiday soon turned into an 8 year stay and it was during these years Michael began to tailor his skills to small animal medicine. Upon his return in 2007 he joined our team here at Queanbeyan and has happily been with us since. Michael has undertaken a post-graduate course in Oncology, bringing with him knowledge of the latest cancer treatments. Michael can often be seen out walking with his beautiful great dane Boris, or doing a few laps at the swimming pool. Impressively Michael has also found time to take up German classes, so if you see him around the clinic greet him with Guten Tag!
